New Doggy was recommended to us by our daughter’s friend. We were cautious about getting a dog from overseas, but New Doggy was wonderful to work with from our first interaction. they patiently answered all of our questions and sent us photos and videos of Migo. Migo was exactly as described to us, he was so sweet and loving from the minute we met him at the airport in New York City. Migo has become a treasured member of our family. He is so good with our three kids. At our first vet visit, our vet was so impressed with how healthy Migo is. He is the best pup we could have asked for.
Geza and his team are extremely dedicated to their work in preparing and delivering our French bulldog puppy to us. Due to unforeseen circumstances with rule changes in 2024 with regards to bringing a dog from an EU country to Switzerland, it made the move very challenging. Geza and his team never stopped trying to find different options and even went out of their way to make it happen. Throughout the entire process, they were constantly in contact via a WhatsApp group chat with progress updates and answering many of our questions promptly. And this even continues after the puppy has been delivered to us. For the Newdoggy team, I can only say hats off to them for a 5-star service. We also chose to have the puppy trained using the Puppy Academy program before coming to us. This is only our personal opinion based on what we have observed for more than 3 weeks now after receiving the puppy. The training is not done by Geza and his team. The training takes 4 weeks but the effectiveness is not apparent on our puppy. He knows the sit command and to varying degrees the stay command. He is comfortable in a crate and knows to pee on pee pads when indoors (only when he is restricted inside his playpen area). When he is let out of the play pen, he does not know or wish to return to the pee pads to pee. But apart from that, what was communicated for example, regarding the socialization with other dogs do not work at all. He barks on leash at other dogs and this is something we are trying hard to correct ourselves at the moment without much success. Other things like on leash walking (he pulls all the time not following at heel), entering elevator (didn't work at all and it took us 2 weeks of patient training ourselves to correct this), car travel (he pees in the car every time because by law in Switzerland we have to secure him to a car pet seat as a minimum). We noticed in videos sent to us that this training was done in a car with someone carrying him in their arms and lap and this was of course fine but not actually allowed by law where we are, and in our opinion not exactly safe either. So anyway, all these traits could of course be specific to our puppy but if we were to choose again, we will simply save the time and money to start the training on our own as we anyway have to do it now.
Sanjay is a blue frenchie that we purchased 2.5 years ago and is the best decision ever made in my life. He has an amazing temperament- kind and sweet natured. Unfortunately no. We know how exciting it is to welcome a tiny puppy home, but this is done with the their best interest in mind. A puppy must be at least 12 weeks old to complete their full vaccination schedule and rabies shot, which will protect them during their journey. This period also allow them to continue learning from their mother and litternates, so they can develop important social skills and play behavior. Following this protocol is essential for their safety and compliant with international travel regulations.
